Our Approach
There are many surgeons, hospitals, and surgery centers out there. Numerous aspects set us apart from the others, but one in particular, is very significant to your well-being when it comes to surgery. This aspect is called AT/ CT Ratio (Access Time/Cure Time).
This Ratio is “Access Time” to “Cure Time.” Let’s take a herniated disc surgery as an example for AT/CT Ratio. In order for the surgeon to get to the disc in order to repair/remove it, the surgeon must first get there – this time to actually get to the disc is part of the Access Time (AT). Once the surgeon gets to this disc, the time that is spent to repair/remove this disc is called Cure Time (CT).

THINGS THAT MAKE sKY Spine
For Providers
As a young spine surgeon, spine fellow, orthopedic or neurosurgical resident, Pain Management Specialist, Chiropractor, or a medical student aspiring to become a spine specialist, you do (or will) appreciate that as the technologies related to spine care evolve, treatment choices become complicated. For example, there is a universal lack of precise, anatomic classification of spinal pathologies despite the fact that MRI images give precise pathoanatomic characteristics of the conditions. So, in this era of multiple endoscopic approaches to address a given pathologic configuration, the surgeon just applies the technique he/she has learned from a given mentor. However, without precise anatomic classification of the condition, it is impossible to have accurate comparison with an alternative endoscopic approach to the same pathology.
For Patients
This online service is designed to assist the following categories of patients. Note we are currently not offering any in-person consultation or surgical procedures:
- 1. Patient who is unable to see spine care professional because of scheduling problems, etc.
- 2. Patient seeking a second opinion because of discomfort with non-operative measures offered.
- 3. Patient seeking a second opinion before deciding on his/her recommended surgical procedure.
- 4. Patient who had a previous surgery but was not happy with the result.
- 5. Patient seeking general advice regarding spinal conditions.
